- 5+ years of professional experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or financial operations roles.
- Professional experience with QuickBooks (mandatory).
- Advanced Excel proficiency (reconciliations, rollups, automation layers).
- Strong accounting fundamentals (CPA-level thinking preferred).
- Experience with multi-entity or holding-company accounting structures.
- Familiarity with US entity taxation and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Experience preparing investor-ready financial reports.
- Prior experience at a Big 4 accounting firm.
- Comfort leveraging AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) to improve efficiency and problem-solving.
- High ownership mindset and ability to operate independently in loosely structured environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage full-cycle bookkeeping across multiple entities.
- Maintain clean, accurate, and audit-ready financial records in QuickBooks.
- Lead month-end and quarter-end close processes.
- Coordinate directly with external CPAs for tax preparation and regulatory compliance.
- Prepare leadership and investor-ready financial reports (P&L, cash flow, reporting packages).
- Ensure reconciliations across bank accounts, credit cards, and intercompany transactions.
- Identify structural gaps and proactively improve accounting workflows and documentation.
- Build financial systems that can scale and eventually be transitioned to future team members.
- Operate with high autonomy and strong professional judgment.
