March wrapped up differently, outside the screens and inside the kitchen. In Mexico City, in partnership with Latinas in Tech, we launched Howdy Flavor Sprint: a MasterChef-style cooking challenge designed for developers, where teamwork, time pressure, and decision-making took center stage.
More than just an event, it was a warm, close, and deeply valuable experience for everyone who participated.
Collaboration, community, and zero rollback
The format was clear from the start: teams, time running out, and critical decisions with no option to “rollback.” Guided by a professional chef, participants had to ideate, cook, and present a dish where collaboration mattered more than the perfect recipe.
This women-only event created something special from the very beginning. The dynamic broke away from the traditional tech-event format, creating space for more authentic and meaningful conversations.
A format that truly connects
The environment created a different kind of energy. The mix of challenge, creativity, and teamwork enabled real connections — the kind that rarely happen in more structured events.
The feedback confirmed it: we achieved a 5/5 satisfaction rating, with recurring themes around:
