Engineer Manager (Guadalajara - MX)
Summary of the Role
We are looking for an Engineering Manager to oversee engineers and drive strategy and execution across multiple engineering teams. You will own the technical direction and delivery of these teams, as well as hiring plans and the career growth of engineers, partnering closely with Product, Design, Data and other stakeholders to shape the strategic direction and roadmap of essential services that support core user experiences.

- Based in Guadalajara and available to work from the office 3 days a week (hybrid)
- Advanced English (C1) or above
- 6+ years of software engineering experience
- 4+ years of experience developing large-scale web-based application systems
- 2+ years of experience managing or supervising software development project teams
- Extensive experience in a Node.js ecosystem
- Track record of building and leading successful engineering teams
- Track record of owning and delivering production-critical services with high availability, reliability and scalability in complex engineering environments
Responsibilities
- Oversee engineers and drive strategy and execution across multiple engineering teams
- Own the technical direction and delivery of these teams, as well as hiring plans and the career growth of engineers
- Partner closely with Product, Design, Data and other stakeholders to create strategic direction and roadmap
- Manage teams that maintain and improve essential services supporting core user experiences, ensuring reliability, scalability and compliance
- Partner with other engineering leaders to improve engineering practices, processes and culture across the organization

- Experience in fintech or other regulated industries
- Familiarity with cloud-based microservice architectures
- Hands-on full-stack development experience
- Experience leading mobile app engineering teams
