2 Minutes to Howdy: A Heavy Metal Night With Our Community in Mexico City
Howdy hosted 2 Minutes to Howdy, a boutique experience in a VIP suite to see a legendary heavy metal band live in Mexico City. It was a night to get to know the tech community outside of work, and guests rated it 5/5.

On October 2nd, we closed the laptops early. Instead of one more evening of tickets and pull requests, we spent the night in a VIP suite at a stadium in Mexico City, with developers and tech professionals from our community.
On stage: one of the most legendary bands in heavy metal.
That night was 2 Minutes to Howdy, a boutique experience we put together for our community. If you caught the reference in the name, you already know who was playing.
Why a concert instead of another talk
We usually meet you at meetups and conferences, where the conversation starts with a stack. We love those. But this time we wanted something else: to get to know the people behind the code, away from the screen.
Between songs there was food, drinks and plenty of time to talk, so some people met for the first time while others picked up conversations they already had going. Even Dude (our fluffy rubber duck) came along and ended up with one of the best seats in the house.
What people told us
The night scored a 5/5 in satisfaction. The comments said it better than the number:
"It's the best corporate event I've ever attended."
"From now on, I'm interested in everything Howdy does."
A lot of the feedback was about the people: "Everyone was super friendly." "The team's openness, communication, and attitude."
Our own team summed it up in one line: "The concert and spending time together."
Until the next encore
At Howdy, we connect developers in Latin America with companies in the US. Our community also lives off the screen, at nights like this one, where networking comes with a soundtrack.
If you were in the suite, thanks for making it loud. If you weren't, this won't be the last time we turn the volume up.
